Pearl Edgar Clifton, of the Beech Springs Community of Jonesville, Va. was born in the Hubbard Springs Community of Jonesville on Tuesday, March 1, 1921 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Lee Nursing and Rehab in Pennington Gap, Va. at the age of 90 years. He was a crane operator at Armco Steel for 7 years in Middletown, OH., a self-employed carpenter for several years which he enjoyed very much. He worked for Lanningham Oil Co. for 20 Years in maintenance repair and was a retired farmer which he loved to do. He was also a member of the Chances Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Hensley Clifton. Three brothers, Henry, Berry and Mack Clifton. Two sisters, Margaret Hensley and Bertha Ingle and son-in-law, Dennis Marcum. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pauline Clifton of the home. Two daughters, Linda Stafford and husband Clarence of Jonesville, Va. and Penny Marcum, also of Jonesville, Va. 6 grandchildren, Lisa Lewis and husband Travis of Chilhowie, Va. Debbie Woliver and husband Mark, Jody Stafford, Tammy Marcum and Jason Marcum and wife Regina all of Jonesville, Va. and Matthew Marcum and wife Mary Helen of Rose Hill, Va. 14 great-grandchildren. One sister, Dealie Click of Bellglade, FL. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Jonesville, Va. with Rev. Fred Cagle and Tracy McPherson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. Wednesday until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Cherie Shay Nevaeh Calhoun of the Sand Lick Community in St. Charles, Va. was born in Norton, Va. on September 7, 2011 and passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her home at the age of 5 months. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Barbara Mooneyhan in 1995 and her great-grandmother Lily Calhoun in 2011. Cherie is survived by her parents Raymond Lee Calhoun and Linda Jeanette Mooneyhan of the home, three brothers Jordan Calhoun, Jeffery Holt, Jacob Calhoun and several cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, Va. with Rev. Bill Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Tuesday until the time of the service. The graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Calhoun Cemetery in the Sandlick Community. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 noon Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marvin Lawson, Tim Blanton, Justin Carmony and Gary Garrett.
