Arvil Arlie Tyree

Arvil Arlie Tyree age 77, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. Arvil was born on Saturday, January 1, 1938 in Virginia Lee, St. Charles, VA. Arvil was a born again Christian of the Church of God Faith. He was a retired coal miner. Arvil was a very quiet man.  He loved his family and was a very devoted husband to his wife Creeda of 47 years.  He loved watching wrestling and loved animals, especially his cat.  He also loved to garden. Arvil is preceded in death by his wife, Creeda Tyree; brother, Clay Tyree; two sisters, Ruth Tyree and Agnes Goode; two brothers-in-law, Charles (Tee) Goode and Jim Barger. Arvil is survived by his daughter, Gail Napier and husband, Barney of Jonesville, VA; son, Greg Tyree of Norton, VA; daughter-in-law, Donna Tyree (but whom was more like a daughter) of Dryden, VA; four granddaughters, Ashley Speck and (Steve) of Arjay, KY, Amber Tyree and (Ryan) of Jonesville, VA, Cheyenne and McKenize Tyree both of Dryden, VA; one grandson Cody Napier of Jonesville, VA; three sisters, Mildred Tyree of Kingsport, TN, Joyce Voegele of Plentywood, MT and Beatrice Barger of Hiltons, VA; one brother, Don Tyree and wife, Loretta (Dolly) of Geneva OH.  He is also survived by special cousins, Glen (Buddy) Edmonds and wife, Shirley (but whom were more like a brother and sister) of Gate City, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. and Roy Webb officiating. Burial will follow at the Millers Chapel Cemetery in the Millers Chapel Community of Jonesville, VA. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service.
