Bernice Haynes

Bernice Haynes age 92 of the Poor Valley Community in Pennington Gap, VA was born Sunday, April 13, 1924 in the Sand Lick Community of St. Charles, VA and passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Pearl “Little Peanut” Haynes, two sons Paul and Greg Haynes, parents Wright and Rosie Stewart, brothers Clyde, Radar, RC and Willard Stewart. Bernice is survived by one daughter JoAnn Daniels Woodard, one son Rick Haynes and wife, Becky, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildraen.  She is also survived by six sisters Dorothy Carter, Irene Thomas, Gladys Rowland, Patricia Ann Gariffa, Angel Sturgill and Judy Collier, four brothers Wayman Stewart, Hubert Stewart, Arville Stewart, Burnard Stewart and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Pennington Memorial Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Thursday until the time of the service. We are located 42098 E.
