Carlie Florence Ewing

Carlie Florence Ewing age 84 a lifelong resident of Lee County, VA was born Saturday, January 16, 1932 and passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Lee Health and Rehab in Pennington Gap, VA.  She had retired as a factory seamstress and was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church of God of Pucketts Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents Creed and Regina Cooper Ewing, four sisters Nola Ewing and Eva (Nean) Crusenberry, Melba Ewing and Daphene Ewing, five brothers Floyd, Marshall, Troy, Ben and Lacy Ewing.  She was the last of her nine siblings. Carlie is survived by her niece that she helped raise Veda Ely (Tom) of Dryden, VA and many more nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, two sisters-in-law Bernetia and Peggy Ewing of Pennington Gap, VA.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service Saturday, May 7, 2016. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Jim Ewing and Pastor Cliff Ely officiating.
