Chad King

Chad King age 90 of Woodway, VA was born Saturday, January 9, 1926 in Kenvir, KY and passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his home in Woodway, VA. He had worked in Maintenance for a trailer company in Louisville, KY and was a member  of the Jonesville First Baptist Church and former trustee of the Woodway Baptist Church in Woodway, VA and was on the excessive board of the Powell Valley Baptist association. He was preceded in death by his two daughters Rhonda and Michelle and a son Jeffery, his parents Offie and Callie King, step-dad Fairbanks Napier, two brothers Offie King, Jr., and Rufus King one sister Ruby Farmer and a foster sisters Margaret Madden. Chad is survived by his wife Mary Ann King of the home, one step-daughter Debra Livesay and Dale Livesay of Kingsport, TN, one step–grandson Roger Livesay of Pennington Gap, VA and a foster brother Verlin Madden.  He is also survived by one grandson Josh Mitchell and wife Ashley of Louisville, KY, two granddaughters Amy Hopkins of Cox Creek, KY and Julie King of Fairdale, KY and three great-grandsons Luke, Will and Josh. He also leaves behind one step-granddaughter Vanessa Livesay of Kingsport, TN, four step-great grandchildren Keegan, Kyleen, NaLani and Mckenzie of Kingsport, TN.
 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Mike Humfleet officiating. Burial will follow at Evarts Memorial Gardens in Evarts, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. Monday until time of services.
