Dennis McKnight

Dennis McKnight age 43 of Keokee, VA was born Friday, December 21, 1973 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.  He loved to ride his motorcycle, play guitar, hunt ginseng, watch football and he really loved playing with his grandchildren. Dennis was a U.S. Army Veteran for eight years and served our country during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was preceded in death by his father Billy Monroe McKnight, grandparents Palmer and Lauria McKnight and John and Arvilla Hughes. Dennis is survived by a daughter Kellie McKnight of Keokee, VA, a son Michael Stapleton of Pennington Gap, VA, two grandchildren Parker Cole and Addison Stapleton, his mother Barbara McKnight of Keokee, VA, his best friend Patty Bailey of Pennington Gap, VA.  He is also survived by two sisters Teresa Spears and husband, Fabian of Keokee, VA, Carolyn Cooper of Keokee, VA, three brothers Damon McKnight and wife, Peggy of Keokee, VA, Donnie McKnight of Keokee, VA, Danny McKnight and wife, Carla of Keokee, VA and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Sunday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the McKnight Cemetery in Keokee, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Monday to go to the cemetery.
