Edna Mae Ward

Edna Mae Ward age 79 of Stickleyville, VA was born in Lee County, VA on Thursday, September 15, 1938 and passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her home. She had been a school bus driver in Vandalia, OH and Lee County, VA for 32 years, a custodian for Pennington Middle School for ten years and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ward, mother Nannie Young, father Isaac Earl Smith, step-mom Bonnie Smith, sister Anna Lee Rasnic, a half sister Katherine Mullins and a half brother Tom Smith. Edna is survived by two daughters Connie Linder and husband, Don of Carrolton, OH and Simone Edwards of Stickleyville, VA, two sons Jerry Ward and wife, Vicki of Stickleyville, VA, Robby Ward and wife, Becky of Kingsport, TN and love of her life Millard Ray Hall of Jonesville, VA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four half sisters Lillian Combs and husband, JR of Jasper, VA, Emma Lou Fisher an husband, Ronald of Florida, Alice Shinnick and husband, William of Anderson, SC, Susie Newsome of Oklahoma, a step-sister Diane Everton of Greenwood, IN, a half brother Donald L. Smith and wife, Donna of Knightstown, IN and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday with Pastor Fred Cagle and Pastor Dave Corryell officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
