Samuel "Scott" Williams

Samuel “Scott” Williams age 45 of St. Charles, VA was born Wednesday, September 30, 1970 in Pennington Gap and passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Harlan ARH Hospital.  He had formerly worked as a security officer for Holston Army Ammunition in Kingsport, TN.  Scott had a brief stint as a  Veteran of the U.S. Army, attended the Beacon Light Baptist Church and Darby Baptist Church both in St. Charles and he also had a preacher’s certificate. Scott is survived by his wife Mary Jane Williams of the home, his mother Brenda (Nelson) Williams of St. Charles, VA, father Butch Williams of Pennington Gap, VA, a son Nicholas Ian Williams of St. Charles, VA, one brother Michael Williams of St. Charles, VA and a half sister Brandi Williams Roberts of Norton, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, 2016 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Rev. Ray Bowlin officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will follow at the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Province Funeral Home.
