Sandra Collins

Sandra Collins age 66 of Big Stone Gap, VA was born Tuesday, December 13, 1949 in Lee County, VA and passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Mountain View Hospital in Norton, VA.  She had worked in the Cafeteria at the Appalachia Elementary School and attended the Keokee Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Wilma Garrett, three infant children, one sister Shelia Young, two brothers Danny and Michael Garrett and a son-in-law Wayne Fisher. Sandra is survived by her husband Gary Collins of Big Stone Gap, VA, daughters Kimberly Smith and husband, Timothy of Jonesville, VA, Amanda Perkins and husband, Jimmy of East Stone Gap, VA, Angela Fisher of Oklahoma, Heather Leonard and husband, Raven of Pennington Gap, VA, two step-daughters Donna Klepper and husband, Martin of Florida and Crystal Collins of North Carolina, two step-sons Mark Collins and wife, Stephanie and Gary Wayne Collins all of Bristol, TN.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren and four brothers Carter Garrett and wife, Marie, Ronald Garrett and wife, Lori, Steve Garrett and wife, Dorothy all of Keokee, VA, Kerry Garrett and wife, Jennifer of Pennington Gap, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Billy McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at the Gates Cemetery in Keokee, VA Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Friday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the funeral home.
