Sevline Sarver

Sevline Sarver age 77 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Monday, October 21, 1940 in the Ely’s Creek Community of Pennington Gap, VA and passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. She had worked as a cashier for Cas Walkers Super Market and was a member of the Smyth Chapel United Methodist Church. Sevline was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend, she loved everyone around her. She loved spending time with her bird "Ben" and her cat "Katie". She enjoyed holidays, cooking, making candy and spending time with her family. Lee County Fall Festival was a special day at Sevlines house, she enjoyed having hot dogs and all the trimmings. Above all she loved God! She loved spending time with church family and good Christian people. Sevline loved to see people enjoy her million dollar pie and banana pudding. Sevline taught us many things and was a blessing to each life she touched. Her last wish is to see her family rejoicing with her one day in Heaven. Sevline was preceded in death by her parents Marion and Mae Garrett and one brother Junior Garrett. She is survived by her husband Charles "Chuck" Sarver of the home two sons Tim Dye and wife, Vonda of Pennington Gap, VA and Bryan Sarver and wife, Donna of Cleveland, OH, two daughters Cathy Hensley and husband, Darrell of Jonesville, VA, Dawn Sarver of Cleveland, OH, four grandchildren Jason Dye, Ryan Hensley, Miranda Sarver and Bryan Sarver. She is also survived by one brother Jerry Garrett of Jonesville, VA, two sisters Mary Ann Cook of Stone Creek, VA and Wanda Elliott of Pennington Gap, VA and many special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Darrell Hensley officiating. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 PM Thursday to go to the cemetery.
