Bobbie Joe "Joey" (Fannon) Summey

Bobbie Joe “Joey” Fannon Summey, age 48 of Dryden, VA was born June 15, 1970. She gained her wings and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was a very loving person, always caring for others, especially her family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Mattie Fannon and Phillip and Bertha Shuler; her father, Hairm “Bucky” Fannon; her brother, Phil “Bush Hog” Fannon and her nephew, Landon Fannon. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy “J.D.” Summey of Woodway, VA; one daughter, Jenny Summey of Dryden, VA; her mother,  Lola “Hon” Fannon of Pennington Gap, VA; one sister, Terrie “Sissy” Fannon of Dryden, VA; two nieces, Vickie Fannon of Pennington Gap, VA and Jaden Fannon of Dryden, VA and one nephew, Cameron “Bubby” Fannon of Pennington Gap, VA along with a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Graveside services will follow at the Fannon Family Cemetery on old Dryden Rd. in Dryden, VA with Pastor Mark Tabor officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
