Carl Edward Parsons, April 23, 1946 - April 7, 2018

Carl passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 7, at his home in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Louisa Parsons of Dryden, VA; by an infant brother, Junior Lee, Charles I. Parsons, Dayton, Ohio, James E. Parsons, Big Stone Gap, VA and W.D. Parsons, Dayton, Ohio. He is survived by 2 daughters, Theresa Taylor and Tina (Chuck) Henderson, grandchildren Jessica and David Taylor, Chandler and Riley Henderson, his loving companion, Janice Leisring.

His brothers, Billy Joe Parsons, Bristol, TN; Garlan Parsons, Dayton, OH; Ralph Parsons, Dayton, OH; Homer Parsons, Dayton, OH; Larry Parsons, Pennington Gap, VA; Rodney Parsons, Dryden, VA; his sisters, Alma Parsons, Dayton, OH; Marie Davis, Rossville, IL; Mary Ethel Stapleton, Woodway, VA; Elizabeth Parsons, Pennington Gap, VA; Linda Pyatt, Dayton, OH.

He was a longtime resident of Dayton, neighbor and best friend to his brother Charles and rode their Harley's together over the years.He loved his animals. He was generous, humble and always smiling. He was a drag racing enthusiast and life long mechanic. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home followed by Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
