Curt "Stork" Shupe

Curt "Stork" Shupe age 65 of Jonesville, VA was born there on Tuesday, July 1, 1952 and passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at his daughter Sarah’s home in Pennington Gap, VA. He was formerly a heavy equipment operator, a member of the Woodway Ruritan Club and of the Christian Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Dorothy Shupe and a grandson Lucas Shubert. He is survived by one son Clarence Curtis Shupe, Jr. of Ben Hur, VA, two daughters Sarah Robbins and husband, Matt of Pennington Gap, VA, Julia Martin and husband, Shane of Duffield, VA, seven grandchildren Seth Shubert, Alexis Shubert, Kaley Shupe, Taylor Shupe, Caroline Robbins, Liam Shupe and Adam Martin. He is also survived by one sister Betty Fortner of Jonesville, VA, one niece Amy Hammonds, one nephew Curtis Fortner, and many friends including his special friend Norman Stewart.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA with Rev. Steve Neff and Josh Leonard officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Monday until the time of the service. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Shupe Family Cemetery in the Cedar Hill Community of Jonesville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
