Curtis Glen Head

Curtis Glen Head, age 53, of the Sticklyville Community, was born December 30, 1965 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away November 4, 2019 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. Curtis was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Ramey’s Chapel Church on Big Hill Community in Pennington Gap, VA. Curtis is preceded in death by his mother Lizzie Jones Freeman; his father J.B. Head; infant brother Paul David Head; maternal grandparents Lettie Venus Jones and Ap Jones; paternal grandparents Jarrett Head and Ora Head; several aunts and uncles.

Curtis is survived by his wife Rhonda Head of the home; his sons Anthony Head and wife Elysia of Jacksonville, FL, Cody Head and wife KC of Sticklyville, VA; his sisters Teresa Orrick and husband Richard of Whitesburg, TN, Tonya Bishop and husband Roy of Sticklyville, VA; his brother Troy Head and wife Catrina of Sticklyville, VA; his uncles Clay (Betty) Jones of Huntsville, AL, Carl (Judy) Jones of Tupelo, MS, Mike (Jane) Jones of Sticklyville, VA; his aunt Mable (Lewis) Clark of Woodway, VA; three grandkids Caleb and Matthew Head of Jacksonville, FL, Annistyn Head of Sticklyville, VA; several nieces, nephews, and a host of many friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2019, from six until eight p.m. in the chapel of Province Funeral Home of Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will follow at eight p.m. with Pastor Bob Grider officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, November 8, 2019 at 12 p.m. in the Rasnic Cemetery. Family is asked to meet at the funeral home at 11 a.m. friday morning. Pallbearers will be Richard Orrick, Skeeter Ward, Ronnie Johnston, Roy Bishop, Kelby Stapleton, and Andrew Johnston.
