Dale Davis

Dale Davis age 86 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Saturday, March 14, 1931 in Ripley County, MO and passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his home. He had lived in Missouri for about 25, Lee County about 22 years and had also lived in Michigan and California. Dale served in the Air Force for years, retired from the San Jose California Fire Department and was a member of the Fire Fighters Union. He had been a coal miner, loved to farm and was a member of the Union Christian Church of Woodway. He was preceded in death by his grandson Curtis Dale Davis, parents Fletch and Mary Davis, five sisters and three brothers. Dale is survived by two sons Cutis "Buddy" Davis and wife, Crystal of Pennington Gap, VA and Jimbo Davis of Jonesville, VA and one daughter Sonya Davis O’Keefe and husband, Ray of York, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, special friends JoAnn Heavin and Dr. Jill Couch and many other special friends from Lee County and Missouri.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Brian Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Saturday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
