David (Toby) Olinger, age 62 of the Olinger Community of Dryden, VA was born in Dryden on Wednesday, July 4, 1956 and departed this life on Friday, March 1, 2019 at his home. He was a retired coal miner who loved coon hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Toby was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Myrtle Boggs Olinger; one brother, Woodrow Olinger and one sister, Virgie Lewis. Toby is survived by three brothers, Earl and Dewey Olinger, both of Dryden, VA and Charles Olinger and wife, Bonnie of St. Charles, VA; two sisters, Alice Herron and husband, Larry of Pennington Gap, VA and Patricia Coomer and husband, Ray of Hawkins County, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2019 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Rick Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will follow at the Olinger Family Cemetery on Cave Springs Rd. in Dryden, VA.
