Gary Wayne Ely

Gary Wayne Ely age 61 of the Dryden VA was born Saturday, January 11, 1958 and passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. He had been a welder at the Pak-Mor Factory Duffield, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Ruth Ely, grandparents Phillip and Allie Harless and George and Hazel Ely. Gary is survived by his father Harold Ely, brothers Donnie Ely, David (Michelle) Ely of Dryden, VA, Daughter Kristie (David) Fritz of Stickleyville, VA, two children he raised as his own Kayla and Danielle Davis, grandson Connor Wayne Fritz, other grandchildren Nevaeh and Dayah Durham, Madison Newton and Jacob Davis. Also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-niece and nephew and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Mark Tabor officiating. Burial will follow at the Ely Family Cemetery in the Dry Branch Community.
