Geneva Hopkins age 69 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Wednesday, January 11, 1950 in Harlan, KY and passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Hopkins, a son Bobby Hopkins, mother Estelle Dean and a brother Garvey Woodard. Geneva is survived by her sons Jimmy Hopkins and wife, Rosemary of Woodway, VA, Mark Hopkins and wife, Pam of Hampton, TN, Roger Hopkins and wife, Jessica of Blackwater, VA, daughters Karen Southerland and husband, Tim of Harlan, KY, Brenda Waddell and husband, Ronnie of Olinger, VA and Christy Bailey and husband, Ron of Dryden, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher Brown and wife, Sarah of Dryden, VA, Craig Brown and wife, Elizabeth of Olinger, VA, Sarah Brown of Kingsport, TN, Peyton Waddell of Olinger, VA, Michael Hopkins of Harlan, KY, Cody Hopkins of Harlan, KY, Tamatha Hopkins of Harlan, KY, Shane Hopkins and wife, Alenna of Pennington Gap, VA, Keshia Taylor and husband, Shannon of St. Charles, VA, Bentley Ledford of Dryden, VA and thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother Lonnie Woodard of Pennington Gap, VA, two sisters Inez Woodard of Dryden, VA, Ruby Woodard of Harlan, KY and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM to go to the cemetery.
