Jean Rubert - Celebration of Life

Celebration of Life will be July 1, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Family Worship Center 145 Lake Street NW, Wise, VA. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Southwest Virginia Cancer Center, 671 US-58 ALT, Norton, VA 24273.

Jean Rubert went to the Lord on Friday May 24, 2019. Her Loving husband, Jim Rubert and children Robert Hand (wife Jessica), Cassie Hand Gallegos (husband Hernando), Laura Varney (husband Rodney) and Son in Laws Shane Rubert (wife Pam) and Scott Rubert (wife Amanda) will miss her dearly. Her sisters and brothers, Val Doris Hodges, Patricia Benton, Riley Collins (wife Carey), Mickle Collins (wife Barbara) mourn the loss of the oldest of eleven (11) in the family. She was loved by her 15 grandchildren: Robert G. Hand, Nadya Ratchford, Remington Hand, Alia Davis, Logan Davis, Jarod Davis, Alex Gallegos, Aaron Gallegos, Ayden Gallegos, Alexis Rubert, Greg Rubert, Rachel Rubert, Sidney Rubert, Jason Rubert and Great Grandsons Landon Gallegos and Auron Hand. Jean will join her family in heaven that passed before her including aunts, uncles, cousins and parents; Vencil Collins and Mae McFall Collins, sister Jetta Collins and brothers Jeffrey Collins, Reese Collins,Wendell Collins and Benny Collins. She loved her family and church family showing it by always offering to help. She was a dedicated member of Lighthouse Family Worship Center and made beautiful quilts with the ladies of Wise County Quilting Guild.
