I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.
On September 23, 2018 Kelly Wayne ‘Jack’ Bledsoe stepped into Heaven to great celebration. Although he will be missed on this earth, we know he is finally pain-free and happy sitting with Jesus and his precious daughter, Teresa. His strong faith in God was demonstrated in every walk of life. Where others saw disappointment, Jack saw opportunities to glorify God. When others wanted to quit, Jack gave encouragement to keep on going. He never missed an opportunity to testify of his Heavenly Father’s love and his fervent prayers have graced many church services, hospital rooms, family gatherings, and private encounters. The lives of his family and wide circle of friends have certainly been enriched and blessed by his presence. His wisdom and sage advice will be an influence for generations to come.
Kelly was born on April 11, 1941 in Stickleyville, VA. He enlisted in the Army and spent time in Germany serving his country before settling in Kingsport, TN. He worked at Tennessee Eastman Company until his retirement. He served the Lord as a faithful member and deacon of First Freewill Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, VA for most of his adult life. His dedication to the up building of God’s kingdom was unparalleled. Jack loved NASCAR and traveled to numerous racetracks and when he could no longer travel, watched on TV – always supporting his favorite driver. He devoted himself to his family always taking care of their needs first, even when it meant sacrificing his wants and needs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Hassie Bledsoe, brothers Yuke, Roy, Bill, Junior and M.D.; sisters Madge, JoAnn and Barbara and precious daughter Teresa in January 2018.
Left to cherish his memory are the ‘love of his life,’ Linda Lou Bledsoe; blessed daughter, Sarah Yvonne Fuchs; precious baby daughter, Pamela Kay Bledsoe-Weeks; two very loved and honored sons-in-law, Jorge Federico Fuchs and Kevin Dean Weeks. He was graced with four cherished grandsons, Stephen Brent Fuchs and wife Jessi Renee Webb-Fuchs; Michael Ryan Fuchs and wife Julina Elaine Fuchs; Dalton Kelly Bledsoe; and Matthew Brandon Fuchs; three adored great-grandchildren, Lillian Grace Fuchs, Ophelia Renee Fuchs, and Michael Ryan Fuchs II; sister Sue Helton and husband Richard. This earth has lost a Godly man who helped anyone and everyone in need and was a constant disciple for Christ by his thoughts, words, actions, and life. He will live on in our memories forever.
