Leonard Elmer Fritz

Leonard Elmer Fritz age 77 of Woodway, VA was born Friday, December 22, 1939 in Scott County, VA and passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home. He was a retired farmer and loved coon hunting, fishing and raising his rabbits. He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Martha Fritz, two brothers Willie Mart Fritz, Curt Fritz and a sister Mavis Gunn. He is survived by one brother Marion Fritz of Woodway, VA, three sisters Ethel (Ett) Maness of Kingsport, TN, Nadine Bishop of Pennington Gap, VA and Patsy Gunn of Dryden, VA, five children Theresa Head, Lana Fritz, Leonard Fritz, Steve Fritz all of Duffield, VA, the mother of his children Evelyn Fritz, six step-children Theresa Orick, Curtis Head, Tonya and Troy Head, Kristie and Jason Fritz all of Duffield, VA, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was loved and will be missed by many. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2017 until the time of the service.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Tim Ramey and Michael Gunn officiating. Entombment will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
