Leroy Deirth

Leroy Deirth, age 82, was born in Lee County, VA on Monday, February 8, 1937 and departed this life Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. He worked as a coal miner most of his life. Leroy gave his life to the Lord and became a preacher and that was his true passion. He loved the Lord and loved telling everyone about the Lord. He also loved to sing the Lords praise every day. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers and a sister. Leroy is survived by his wife Lorene, sons Devin, Jimmy (Tammy), James, Jerry (Audrey), Jeff (Pam), daughter Roseanna, one sister Bernice and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Jerry Deirth to read the eulogy. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Monday to go to the cemetery.
