Lester Dewey Barnette

Lester Dewey Barnette age 66 of Loudon, TN was born in St. Charles, VA on Sunday, December 16, 1952 and passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Rosa Barnette, sister Mildred Barnette, brothers Lee R. and Ervin Barnette. Lester is survived by his brothers General Barnette and wife, Sharon of North Shore, NC, Charles Barnette and wife, Bobbie of Pennington Gap, VA, Glenn Barnette of St. Charles, VA, sisters Ruth Brown of Lexington, KY, Anna Rader and husband, Dallas of Connersville, IN, Marie West of Kingston, TN, Merlene Stapleton of Dryden, VA, Ethel Stapleton and companion, Jeff of Fountain Inn, SC, several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr officiating . Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Friday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Saturday to go to the cemetery.
