Marguerette Burgan

Marguerette Burgan age 72 of the Ocoonita Community of Jonesville, VA was born Tuesday, December 11, 1945 in the Woodway Community and passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She was formerly a seamstress at the Donkenny Sewing Factory and was of the Holiness Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents Spencer and Dona Johnson, one brother Ralph Curtis Johnson and one sister Minnie Sue Benfield. Marguerette is survived by her husband Roman Burgan of the home, two sons Michael Burgan and Scotty Burgan both of the Ocoonita Community, two brothers Carl Johnson of Woodway, VA and Larry Eujean Johnson of Jonesville, VA, two sisters Bertha McDonald of Courtland, OH and Estelle Creech of Dayton, OH.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Friday to go to the cemetery.
