Martin Wynn

Martin Wynn age 76 of Thorn Hill, TN and formerly of Lee County, VA, was born Wednesday, September 10, 1941 in Verdy, Kentucky and passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

He had been a coal miner most of his life and his interests gardening, wildlife, classic cars and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Martha Wynn, brothers Eli, Lawrence, Jess and Blant Wynn, two sisters Thelma King, Zel Wynn and a son-in-law Peter Joe Lawson. Martin is survived by his wife Bertha Garrett Wynn of the home, one son Jeff Wynn of Thorn Hill, TN, three daughters Lisa Bledsoe and husband, Keith of Stickleyville, VA, Sherry Deaton and husband, Corbett of Dryden, VA and Sheila Lawson of Pennington Gap, VA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren Joshua Wynn, Jordan Bledsoe, Sarah Bledsoe Asbury, Caleb Bledsoe, Justin and Jamie Lawson, Jesse Deaton, Erica Deaton Player, Melanie Deaton Bowen and Bethany Deaton, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers Burl Wynn and wife, Wanda, Wesley Wynn and wife, Bonnie all of Maynardville, TN, four sisters Norma Middleton and husband, Smith, Amy Thompson and husband, Eddie and Carrie Wynn all of Maynardville, TN, Emily Garrett of Pennington Gap, VA and special family friend Tammy Wynn.

At Martin's request, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Bryan Gunter officiating.
