Ralph H. Payne

Ralph H. Payne, age 60 of Ewing, VA was born in Middlesboro, KY on Tuesday, October 22, 1957 and departed this life on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his home in Ewing. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Gracie Payne; two brothers, Bobby and Allen Payne; one sister, Diane Payne; his mother and father-in-law, Otis and Billie Dameron; one sister-in-law, Jean Ann Maggard. Ralph is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carrie Payne of the home; one daughter, Kristy King and husband Michael of Ewing, VA; two grandchildren, Casey and Steven; one brother, Larry Maggard of Rose Hill, VA; one sister, Patsy P. Sowders and husband Carl Ray of Ewing, VA; two sisters-in-law, Mary Campbell and husband Clayton of Middlesboro, KY and Sarah Beth Barton and husband Steve of Middlesboro, KY; eighteen nieces and nephews, twenty-two great nieces and nephews and special friends, Bill and Juianna Webb, Gary and Kathy Bray, Sue Taylor Nole, Doug Howard and his former co-workers at glass machinery.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Jonesville, VA with Pastor Tim Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. Wednesday until time of Services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Vanhuss Grove Cemetery in Rose Hill, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. to go to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
