Roy Glenn Johnson

Roy Glenn Johnson age 64 of Jonesville, VA was born Tuesday, February 9, 1954 in Shelbyville, KY and passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. He loved his family with all his heart, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was loved by so many. He was a heavy machine operator but family and farming was his greatest joy. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Lora Moberly Johnson, a brother Douglas Johnson and a sister Loretta Johnson. Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years Barbara Johnson of the home, four daughters Joy Johnson of Frankfort, KY, Misti Robbins and husband, Mark, Denise Collins and husband, Casey, Loraine Carmony and husband, Bruce all of Jonesville, VA, two sons Roy Douglas Johnson of Jonesville, VA, Glenn Johnson and friend Tracie Johnson of Kentucky, three sisters Betty Spears and husband, Jack of Dryden, VA, Brenda Johnson of Dryden, VA and Carolyn Blanton and husband David of Kentucky, one brother Harold Johnson and wife, Pam of Kentucky. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan Carmony, Evan, Emma and Ava Collins, Nathan and Mason Robbins and many other extended family and a host of many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Steve Neff officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Wednesday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM Thursday to go to the cemetery.
