Ruby Verta Johnson

Ruby Verta Johnson, age 97, of Jonesville, VA, was born October 4, 1922 in Jonesville, VA and went to her heavenly home Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at her home. She had retired from General Motors in Cleveland, Ohio. She was of the Church of God faith and a member of the Church of God in Rose Hill, VA. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Hayden Johnson; parents John D. And Martha J. Carroll; daughter-in-law Ann Marie Ciora; great-grandson Donnie Kelley; four brothers and four sisters.

Ruby is survived by her two daughters, Norma Jean Rhodes and husband Bob, Joanne Lamb and husband Jim; two sons Bob Ciora, Rick Ciora and wife Keira; nine grandchildren Renee Chester, Jeff Lamb, Tom Kelley, Debbie Waclawski, Jonathan Ciora, Nick Ciora, Lauren Ciora, Aimee Coliano and Bobby Ciora; eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two great-great-great-grandchildren and one brother Harry Carroll. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, November 11, 2019 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the chapel of Province Funeral Home of Jonesville, VA. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor T. J. Branson officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Bethel Cemetery, Sugar Run Rd. Jonesville, VA.
