Stella Roberts age 98 of Jonesville, VA was born Friday, May 30 1919 in the Woodway community and passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her home. She had been a homemaker, member of the Pocahontas Lodge and of the Faith Baptist Church in Jonesville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Wiley Roberts, three sons L.D. Roberts, Joe Pete Roberts and Donald Roberts, two daughters Etta Jean Ferrari and Alice Fleenor, parents James and Maggie McCracken, three sisters Ruby Roberts, Effie Pees and Charlotte Paul, five brothers Charles McCracken, Frank McCracken, James McCracken, Silas McCracken and Tom McCracken. Stella is survived by two sons Lewis Roberts and wife, Betty of Jonesville, VA, Jeff Roberts and wife, Ilene, of Mooresburg, TN, four daughters Lilli Hodges and husband, Jerry of Jonesville, VA, Wilma Ramey and husband, Clarence of Bonita Springs, FL, Wanda Andis and husband, John of Jonesville, VA, Dollie Francis and husband, Ray of Jonesville, VA. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, and one brother Bill McCracken of Monroe, MI.
She will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 9, 2017 with a private family ceremony.
