Wayne Lamb

Wayne Lamb, age 77, was born July 3, 1942 in Mitchell County Georgia, the son of W.L. and Josie Lamb. He was a state inspector of vegetables and fruits for the state of Georgia and Florida. He spent years in his own business, Lamb’s Detailing as an auto retailer for BJ Motor Company.

Wayne was a humble man, nothing about him was pretentious. He enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of animals. He loved feeding his chickens, donkeys, cows, and birds. He anxiously awaited springtime for his garden. He was most proud of his hot peppers and homemade pepper sauce. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents W.L. and Josie Lamb. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Brenda Lamb of Pennington Gap, VA; children Matthew Lamb and wife Keri of Abingdon, VA, Jordan Lamb of Bluffton, SC and Sara Lamb of Wise, VA; grandsons Ethan, Gavin and Lucas; granddaughter Raena Lamb; brother Willie Lee Lamb and Delores of Locust Grove, GA; sister Beverly Widener and husband William of Climax, GA; nephews Shawn Lamb and wife Misty of Molena, GA and Joseph Lamb of Seattle, WA. In addition, extended family Brian and Philana Shoemaker and son Corey, Archie Woliver and family, Clark Helton, Roy Stanley, Jackie and Donna Fannon and his very special, Dr. Jill Couch and Staff.

A celebration of life will be held at his home Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. A gathering of friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will continue until time of service.
