William Grant Morefield, Jr.

William Grant Morefield, Jr., age 75, of Woodway, VA was born August 1, 1944 and went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2019. Mr. Morefield was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Charles. VA. He was a coal miner, farmer and loved to fish.

William is preceded in death by his parents William Grant, Sr. and Ethel Morefield; his sister Mary Ethel Morefield; his brother-in-law Gerald Cook.

William is survived by his brother John Arthur Morefield and wife Theresa of Jonesville, VA; his sisters Janice Sue Morefield Hoskins and husband Don of Woodway, VA, Ruby Faye Morefield Cook and husband Larry of Mooresburg, TN and Elizabeth Kay Morefield Cook of Mooresburg, TN; several niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday to proceed to the cemetery.
