Alfreda Carpenter

Alfreda Carpenter, 82, of Pennington Gap, VA was born Thursday, September 16, 1937 to the late William Fitts and Pearlie Carpenter and went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 16, 2020. Alfreda was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved to sing at church.

Alfreda is proceeded in death by her parents, William Fitts and Pearlie Carpenter and one brother Charles Fitts.

Alfreda leaves to mourn, her three sons, David Carpenter (Angie), Daniel Carpenter, and Tim Carpenter; three daughters, Sarah Carpenter (Vince), Mary Henrietta Carpenter, and Rebecca (Joe) Carpenter; her four half siblings, Nancy Paige, Betty Allen, William Fitts, and Franklin Fitts; nine Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.   

Friends may come by from 11:00 until 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA to sign guest book and view.  Due to Covid-19 regulations only 10 people at a time inside or outside the funeral home. A private service and graveside will be at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA.
