Amanda Rae Addison Asare

September 2, 2018. On this night, a nurse from Indian Path Memorial Hospital called to let us know that our baby daughter, Amanda Rae Addison Asare, aged 39, had just passed. She had had a massive heart attack after a lengthy illness. What this meant to us and to many of her friends was that at last she was free of the wheelchair that had burdened her now for over 12 years and that her beautiful legs were straight again and she is walking along the streets of gold. We all hope to meet again to see her lovely smile.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Lynda Rose Addison and Darrell Addison. Her four sisters Beth (Randy) Boone, Texas; Rebecca Ely, Pennington Gap, VA; Stephanie (Ricky) Beech, Tennessee; Amy Manning, Pennington Gap, VA. She has three beautiful daughters: Jazlyn, Jaylyn and Jahara.

She joined in death her father, Jimmy Wayne Ely; his parents, Norman Jean and Ernest Ely; and her aunt and uncle Janice and Jody Greer. She also joined her maternal grandparents, Ruth and Herskel Rose of Pennington Gap, VA. Her paternal adoptive grandparents, Christine and Arvil Addison of Norton, VA.

Memorial Services for our Mandy will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home Chapel in Pennington Gap, VA from 5 until 7p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to join.
