Anna Mae Stapleton Sluss

Anna Mae Stapleton Sluss age 90 of Pennington Gap,VA was born Tuesday, October 2, 1928 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents Harden and Jennie Allen Stapleton, one son David Newman two brothers Darrell and George Stapleton. Anna is survived by her loving husband Kyle Boyd Sluss of the home; Four sons, Jimmy Lee Newman of GA, Bobby W Stapleton of Pennington Gap, VA, Carl Sluss and wife Valarie of MI, Roger Sluss and wife Sabrina also of Michigan ; Two daughters Debbie Newman of Ohio, Sharron Birkenbach and husband Gary of, TN. Five brothers Bradley Stapleton and wife Mary of Marietta, GA, Eddie Stapleton and wife Donna of Pennington Gap, VA, David Stapleton of Pennington Gap, VA, Martin Stapleton of Jonesboro, TN and Aaron Stapleton of Pennington Gap, VA. Four sisters Vada Hand , Mary Hand, Linda Collier, Ella Sue Turner and husband Bobby all of Jonesville, VA. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews  family and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA with Dr. Charles Barrier officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:45 AM for services. Memorials and condolences can be sent to the family by visiting www.provincefuneralhome.com We are located at 42098 E.
