Charles Meryl Tanner

Charles Meryl Tanner age 67 of Greenfield, IN was born July 2, 1955 and passed away July 14, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father Von LeRoy Tanner, mother Esther Marie Tanner, grandmother Betty Eloise King. He is survived by his siblings Brenda Tanner and Fiance, Chuck Scott of Sugar Grove, VA, Anthony J. “Tony” Tanner of Dryden, VA, Lydia L. Tanner of Sun City, CA., uncle Max and aunt Sue Hicks of Woodway, VA and many friends.

Charles loved to travel and has been to California to Disneyland, the Grand Canyon, Indianapolis, IN, Dover, DE and had even been to New York. He enjoyed collecting flags and cups from his miles of travel and talking about dinosaurs. Charles worked at IDC for several years and truly enjoyed meeting so many new friends.  He also enjoyed fishing with his siter Brenda and always catching more fish than she did. For the last years he enjoyed his time with Chuck drinking a coke and having 3 Oreo cookies and watching a Western on TV.

Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. We are located at 42098 E. Morgan Ave. Pennington Gap, VA 24277
