Daniel Hubert Wells, Jr. age 56 of Big Stone Gap, VA was born April 19, 1965 in Michigan and passed away May 24, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel Wells, Sr. and Ruth Wells. Daniel is survived by his wife of 15 years Rebecca Wells of the home, two sons Cody Brown of Pennington Gap, VA, Caleb Brown and wife, Alexis of Pennington Gap, VA, father at heart for Gavin and Brayden Lambert, one brother Barry Wells of Big Stone Gap, VA, three sisters Deloris Rutherford and husband, Steve of Big Stone Gap, VA, Lisa Wells of Big Stone Gap, VA and Sharon King of Big Stone Gap, VA, A loving father, husband, uncle and loving papaw to  Aiden, Aubree, Ava and Mason Brown, Samuel Brown, Ameera and Conner, also his lifetime brothers David Wells, Tony Simpson and June Fannon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the American Legion Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, VA. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.provincefuneralhome.com.
