David Carl Brewer

David Carl Brewer age 74 was born March 22, 1948 in Jonesville, VA and  went to be with the Lord on  July 13, 2022 in Kingsport, TN. David was a United States Army Veteran, coal miner, avid fisherman and hunter  and loved all aspects of life.  He is preceded in death by his father Bradley Brewer and his mother Myrtle Blevins, one son Christopher Brewer and three brothers Ernest, Richard and John, two sisters Meadie and Thelma.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Marie “Elaine”  Brewer of the home; one son Robert Brewer and wife Amy of Duffield, VA, one daughter Melissa Vanover and husband Doug of Kingsport, TN, daughter in-law Vinia Brewer of Ben Her, VA,  five grandchildren Jonathan, Sarah, Bradley " Kristin" , Brandon  and Elijah he also leaves behind three great-grandchildren Cameron, Zeus, Xander, and many brothers-in-laws and sister in-laws many nieces, nephews family and friends.

The family will receive family and   friends from 2-4 PM on July 23, 2022 at West End Baptist Church in Big Stone Gap, VA. The Memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM with  Pastor Dr.Josh Topkins officiating.
