Dewey Wayne Olinger, Sr. age 72 of the Cave Springs Community in Dryden, VA was born in Lee County, VA on October 12, 1948 and passed away at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and had been a farmer. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Carl Olinger, parents Bradley and Myrtle Olinger, one sister Virgie and two brothers David and Woody Olinger. Dewey is survived by one son Dewey Wayne Olinger, Jr. and wife, Rebecca of Jenkins, KY, one daughter Bobbie Robinson and husband, James of the Cave Springs Community, five grandchildren Phillip, Sarah and Destiny Robinson all of the Cave Springs Community, Hayden Olinger and Christopher King of Jenkins, KY, two brothers Earl Olinger of the Cave Springs Community, Charles Olinger of St. Charles, VA, two sisters Patricia Coomer and husband, Ray of Rogersville, TN, Alice Herron and husband, Larry of Dryden, VA, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon.
