Drucilla Bays Denson

Drucilla Bays Denson of Jonesville, VA was born Monday, January 2, 1922 and passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Ella Bays, brother Donald, killed at Pearl Harbor, her first husband and father of their four children, Hagan Carroll, her second husband, Ransel Denson, a step daughter, Denise Langley and a step-granddaughter, Amy Middleton. Surviving are 4 children Patsy Carroll of Maryand, Donnie Carroll (Peggy) of Ohio, Dianne Smith of Jonesville, Steve Carroll of the home, 2 step sons, Tony Denson of Rose Hill and Pete Denson (Stella) of Jonesville, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. One sister, Geraldine King of Loyall, KY, 2 sisters-in-law Oasie Harber of Ohio and Malinda Maness (Wayne) of Jonesville, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Drucilla was a faithful member of Hubbard Springs Christian Church and over the years had been a teacher, pianist and treasurer. The family would like to thank Dr. Vanzee and In Home Care, Connie, Lee and Joyce for their service over the years. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at the Hubbard Springs Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hubbard Springs Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
