Fannie Minor Johnson, 79, of Jonesville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Turkey Creek Medical Center. Fannie was born on July 15, 1943 to the late Clarence and Pearl Sturgill Minor in Burdine, Kentucky. She retired from the United States government and was of the Baptist faith. Fannie enjoyed spending time at the pond especially fishing, she was an avid puzzle worker, and loved spending time with her family. Fannie was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother, sister and aunt.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband and soulmate, Jimmy Lorn Johnson, Sr.; brothers, Clarence "Bud" Minor, Roy Minor, and Johnny Minor.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jimmy Lorn Johnson, Jr. and wife Trenia; daughter, Kathy Ely and husband Bruce; granddaughters, Brandi Loren Neal and Madison Gabrielle "Gabby" Johnson; brother, Roger Minor; sisters, Shirley Yonts, Judy LaFon, Barbara Wilson, and Donna Minor; along with several beloved nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Johnson Family Cemetery (2652 Left Poor Valley Rd, Pennington Gap, Va) with pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 PM.
