Floyd Varble age 79 of the Kemmer Gem Community of St. Charles, VA was born March 29, 1941 in Kemmer Gem and passed away at his home on May 19, 2020.
Floyd retired as a coal miner, was a member of the UMWA, and attended Pucketts Creek Free Pentecostal Church of God. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed playing with his great-granddaughter. He also enjoyed the outdoors and his gardening.
He was preceded in death by his son Floyd "Buddy" Varble, infant son Ronald Varble, parents Elsie and Lester Varble, sisters Lorene Cochran, Joann Galloway and Loretta Parsons.
Floyd is survived by his wife, of 57 years Fern Varble of the home, two daughters Kathy Phillips and husband, Roger of Pennington Gap, VA, Tracy Tritt and husband JR of St. Charles, VA, granddaughter Kelsey Phillips and fiance, Devon Hobbs and great-granddaughter Kali Hobbs both of Pennington Gap, VA.
He is also survived by two sisters Wilma McKinney of St. Charles, VA, Patricia Scott and husband, Elijah of St. Charles, VA, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday with Pastor Jim Ewing officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family will serve as Pall Bearers.
