Franklin James Garrett, age 71, of Pennington Gap, VA passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was born September 8, 1948 in Pennington Gap.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Garrett; a son Frankie Garrett; a daughter Rebbacca (Becky) Garrett; his mother Mary J. Garrett; his father Bill Garrett; brothers Elmer Garrett, Robert Garrett, Authur Garrett and Sam Garrett.
Frank is survived by one son Andrew Garrett of the Stone Creek Community; one daughter Jennifer Smith and husband, Shane of the Stone Creek Community; four grandchildren Maggie Smith, Jacob Smith, Gabriel Smith, and Isabella Smith all of the Stone Creek Community; two brothers Jack Garrett and Walter Garrett both of Pennington Gap, VA.
Frank worked for the Town of Pennington Gap for many years, he loved to fish and hunt. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. Officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Woodway, VA. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Thursday until the time of the service.
