Gail Gene Tritt

Gail Gene Tritt age 74 of Dryden, VA was born Sunday, May 27, 1945 in Baltimore, MD and passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA.Gail served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran and repaired radios for helicopters and jets. He always worked in the public through Kays, Piggly Wiggly, Mayfield and later retired after 30 years with Kays/Mayfield where he received many awards and safe driving pins. He was a big sports fan and loved baseball. He loved to be outdoors and go to the creek with the grandkids and his family. Gail has never met a stranger and was a friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Gladiola Tritt, his brother Steve Tritt and baby brother Storm Tritt. Gail is survived by his wife of 48 years Rosalee Tritt of the home, two sons Dale Tritt of the home, Randy Tritt and wife, Jennifer of Duffield, VA, two grandchildren Gabriel Tritt and Nathan Tritt both of Duffield, VA, seven brothers Bruce Tritt and wife, Janice of Winston Salem, NC, Dahl Tritt of King, NC, Dennis Tritt and wife, Kay of Mocksville, NC, Chris Tritt of Big Stone Gap, VA, Cliff Tritt and wife, Terri of East Bend, NC, Tim Tritt of Kingsport, TN, and Adam Tritt of Pennington Gap, ,VA, one sister Geraldine Queen and husband, Mitch of King, NC, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with John M. Britton, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Tuesday until the time of the service.A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Bailey Family Cemetery in Dryden, VA.
