Gary Wayne Shirks

 Gary Wayne Shirks age 67 of Jonesville, VA was born December 6, 1953 in Lee County, VA and passed away June 21, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mamie Shirks, brothers Richard, William Howard, Paul and David Shirks, one sister Helen Middleton and birth mother Margaret Green.

Gary is survived by his sisters Nancy Byrd of Virginia and Betty Flanary of Tennessee, his brothers Thomas Phillips, Earl Shirks and Billy Ray Shirks all of Virginia, Half sister Norma Green of Virginia, Half Brothers Rick Green of Indiana, Doug and Everett Green of Virginia, And special nephews Ricky Middleton, Donnie Middleton and Roger Shirks all of Virginia.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM Thursday with Josh Osteen officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Friday to go to the cemetery Condolences may be sent to the family at www.provincefuneralhome.com.
