Jackie Nell Oaks

Jackie Nell Oaks, age 78, of Pennington Gap, VA entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 3, 2023. She was born in Keokee, VA on May 27, 1944 to Hubert and Margie Estep.  In addition to her parents Jackie was preceded in death by her son, Michael Oaks of Pennington Gap.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Oaks Jr. of Pennington Gap, VA, brother Larry Estep of Keokee, VA, sister Joyce Collins and husband Bob of Keokee, VA, son Mark Oaks and wife Tammy of Jonesville, VA, granddaughter Haley Johnston and husband Mason of Jonesville, VA, great-grandchildren Kylie, Ryder, and Sawyer Johnston, special cousin Jerry Cox of Huntsville, AL, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“Mamaw Jack” was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved her family with a sacrificial, unending love and delighted in taking wonderful care of everyone that she loved.  Her love was returned by her family who will miss her every day until our Great Reunion in Heaven.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA.  The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday with Pastor Josh Osteen officiating.  The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 am on Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
