James Knuckles

James Knuckles age 69 of Pennington Gap, VA was born December 12, 1950 in Whitley County, KY and passed away July 13, 2020 in Pennington Gap, VA. He had worked many years for the Lee County transfer station,  was a veteran of the US Army and was of the Holiness faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny Monroe and Arlene Knuckles, and one grandson Joseph Knuckles.

James is survived by two sons Jimmy Knuckles of Pennington Gap, VA and  Greg Allen Knuckles of Pennington Gap, VA, one daughter Tracy Knuckles of Pennington Gap, VA, three grandchildren Adalynn Grace Knuckles, Keayn and Kayden Knuckles.  He is also survived by one brother Willard Knuckles and wife Emma of Painesville, OH, two sisters Sandra Scott and husband, Wayne of Pennington Gap, VA, Charlotte Jones and husband, Phil of Pennington Gap, VA and special  friend Joe Perry of Pennington Gap, VA.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Pennington Memorial Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA.
