Jerry D. Corbin, Sr., age 79, of Miamisburg, passed away April 17, 2022.
He was born July 5, 1942 in St. Charles, Virginia to the late Roy William
Shelby and Loraine (England) Corbin. Jerry was a Veteran of the US Air
Force. He retired from the Ford Motor Co. after more than 30 years of
service, and was a member of the U.A.W. Jerry was a faithful member of
Miami Shores Baptist Church.
After his retirement Jerry was an avid golfer, playing on the golf league
at Pipestone Golf Course in Miamisburg. He also enjoyed fishing and
tending his vegetable gardens.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Judy
(Patrick) Corbin, and by one daughter Laura Corbin Grutzius.
He is survived by his son Jerry Corbin, Jr.; daughter Courtney Corbin
(Tyler) Norris; and granddaughters Savannah Grutzius and Meadow Norris.
Jerry is also survived by his siblings Joyce Rogers, Roy (Ruth) Corbin,
Jan (Doug) Surber, Rob (Dina) Corbin along with a host of nieces, nephews
Jerry was a very humble man, and he loved helping anyone in need. He was a
loving caregiver who took care of his wife for many years before her
passing. Jerry will be remembered for his generosity and for being a man
of his word. He was a beloved and devoted dad, papaw, brother, uncle and
friend, and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00 pm until
time of service at 7:00 pm at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance
Road, Moraine, OH 45439, Pastor Doug Surber officiating.
