Jerry Wayne Matheson

Jerry Wayne Matheson age 73 of Dryden, VA was born Friday, June 1, 1945 in Roxboro, NC and passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Chestnut Grove Assisted Living in Dryden, VA. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran doing two tours and was a Purple Heart recipient. He loved his older model car and was a car enthusiast. Jerry loved to spend time with his friends Michael Brown, "Rocky" Keaton Lane, John Smith, Lorie Minor, Bill Brooks and Doris Wiseman. He is preceded in death by his parents Lenn Matheson and Christine Young and a sister Gilda Matheson. Jerry is survived by his wife Sherry Matheson of Dryden, VA, one daughter Melissa Vanzant-Birch of London, England, two grandchildren, two brothers Doug Matheson and Ricky Matheson, and one sister Judy Hodges.

A Military graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, TN.
