"Well wife I found the model church".....September 17, 2020 Linda Lou Holmes Bledsoe (78) heard a joyful call and flew to join Heaven's choir and add her beautiful voice to those who have gone on before her. She is now celebrating and praising her Savior with her mom and dad, Berdie and Andrew Holmes, her brother Donnie Holmes, her daughter Teresa Bledsoe, and the love of her life, her husband Kelly (Jack) Bledsoe.
Linda was born March 31, 1942 in Lee County, VA. When asked in high school what her career plans were she stated that she wanted to get married and have children. She excelled at this ambition, as Linda was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family unwaveringly. The only thing she loved more was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Linda always taught her children, by example, about a life with Christ. Linda was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, where she served in many capacities. She loved to crochet, piece quilts, and cook for all those she loved. She was a second mother to her younger siblings, nieces, nephews, and many others to whom she opened her home and her heart.
Left to cherish her precious memory until reunited again in Heaven are two daughters, Yvonne Fuchs and husband Jorge, Pamela Bledsoe-Weeks and husband Kevin: four grandsons Stephen Fuchs and wife Jessi, Michael Fuchs and wife Julie, Dalton Bledsoe and companion Savana Greene, and Matthew Fuchs: four great-grandchildren, Lily Grace, Ophelia, Michael Jr., and Elliot: five sisters, Theda Reese and husband Alvin, Peggy Nickodam, Hilda Fields, Gail Rasnic and husband Dennis, and Carolyn Pettey and husband Charles, and a host of neices, nephews, extended family, and friends.
While the reunion in Heaven is joyous, her wisdom and Godly influence will forever be missed by many on earth.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 11am-1pm with funeral services following at 1pm in the Chapel of Province Funeral Home of Pennington Gap, VA. Burial will immediately follow services at the Bledsoe Family Cemetery in Stickleyville, VA.
