Lois Lawson

Lois Lawson age 78 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Norton, VA on November 24, 1941 and passed away at her home on July 13, 2020. Lois had been a resident of Lee County since 1961 and was of the Baptist Faith.

She had worked at Shelburne’s Motel and Restaurant and then for Lee County Hospital for over 18 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents William  E. and Lelia Lawson and two brothers Lowell and Ronnie Lawson.

Lois is survived by two sons Lamon B. Lawson of Pennington Gap, VA, Allen Musick and wife, Amber of Castlewood, VA, six grandchildren Christopher Lawson, Natasha Lois Minor, Alisha Bledsoe, Kayden Musick, Steven Lee Scott and Adam Johnson, six great-grandchildren Katelyn and Sara Lawson, Jazmine Minor, Daniel Minor, Starlynn Minor and Elijah Johnson.

She is also survived by one brother Lynn Lawson of Keokee, VA, one sister Nancy Rowe of Pennington Gap, VA, special nephew Ronnie Lawson and special niece Rebecca Cooper and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday, July 20, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA.

A funeral service will be at 7:00 PM Monday with William Rowe officiating.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Tuesday to go to the cemetery.

Due to covid-19 state regulations, those attending the visitation and funeral are asked to wear masks/facial covering. Social distancing guidelines will also be in place.
